Midlife Crossroads

$0.00

It was mid 2019 when it started.

By ‘it’ I mean a growing dissatisfaction and discontent somewhere deep inside of me.

I was nearing 40, living at a pace my soul could not keep up with.

I thought this discontent would fade but it didn’t. Instead, it confronted me with some existential questions as old fears resurfaced, past pains snuck up and new temptations knocked at my door.

“Am I going crazy?” I wondered.

Maybe a little.

Or maybe this was the way back to some sanity.

I was at a vital crossroads in my life, at a significant life stage where my decisions would define not just my own future, but the future of those I love.

I used to joke about people having a midlife crisis.

Now that I’m in on ‘the joke’, it’s not so funny.

The question is:

Will I face it, fly from it or freeze in it? If I do have the courage and humility to face midlife, will I find rest for my soul or more importantly, will I find the rest of my soul - those parts and pieces that have been let go or left behind in the pursuits and passions which marked the first half of my life.

Perhaps you are wondering similar things?

If so, come and join me on this journey as we explore what it looks like to find our way as we find ourselves in the middle of life.
